Our History

International Data Services originated from the well known ICL Data Services Division, which was established more than forty nine years ago. In the mid eighties ICL made it a worldwide policy that the bureau business was no longer their core interest and thus divested themselves from the bureaux. During 1986 the South African Bureaux became an entirely South African owned and managed company, trading under the name of International Data Services. In 1997 each branch of iData became independent business units, with affiliations to each other when and where necessary.

In the Cape Town Head Office we have 35 employees, some of whom have been with iData since ICL days thus ensuring continuity of knowledge, skills and customer liaison. iData is based in the Black River Park Office Complex, in Observatory and currently processes payrolls for some 250 companies in the Western Cape alone.
iData provides professional payroll services for Monthly, Weekly and/or Fortnightly paid employees for any size of company, ranging from five to one thousand employees. Our payroll service is fully comprehensive and we run the process from start to finish. You supply us the input and we handle the rest. We truly are your off-site payroll department.
